12th International Conference on Science, Mathematics & Technology Education (icSMTE) STEM for a Better World: Innovation, Ethics, and Impact– Examining the ethical and societal implications of STEM advancements

Conference Introduction:

The 12th icSMTE is being jointly organized by the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education Research Group (STEMrg), previously known as the Science and Mathematics Education Centre (SMEC), and Jiaxing University. STEMrg is part of the School of Education within Curtin University’s Faculty of Humanities. The group specializes in postgraduate education in STEM fields and is recognized nationally and internationally for its research and development excellence. With one of the world’s largest cohorts of postgraduate students focused on STEM education, STEMrg supervises MPhil, PhD, and Doctor of Education candidates from across Australia and various countries worldwide.

Conference Background:

Following the successful conferences in Vietnam, South Africa, Canada, Thailand, Taiwan, Oman, Indonesia, Malysia, Mauritius and India this conference will provide another intellectually challenging and culturally enriching experience for science, mathematics and technology teachers, teacher educators, researchers and administrators from all education levels from around the world. The most recent SMTE was hosted by the Punjabi University Patiala, India. The 12th icSMTE will be hosted by the Jiaxing University, China.
